Jayne honed her voice-over skills on the stage and on BBC Television as a continuity announcer (8 years on BBC1 and BBC2), and as a business news reporter/reader on BBC World. In the last 10 years she has broadened her expertise in the broadcast and corporate worlds, working on corporate films (AXA, PWC, Sony, Sainsbury’s), digital/online (Channel 4, Sky, What Car?), talking books (RNIB) and radio (BBC Radio 4, Classic FM). Intelligence, professionalism and flexibility are at the heart of everything she does. She is known by clients as the ‘one-take wonder’; she takes direction well and always arrives at a session well prepared.
Jayne’s Yorkshire origins give her voice a round, warm, melodious quality. It has a distinctive and memorable tone and a naturally varied and accessible intonation. BBC audience research reveals her to be ‘believable’, ‘trustworthy’, ‘warm’ and ‘intelligent’. This makes her voice and style of delivery ideally suited to complex subjects where the fluidity of the read is key. Her ability to communicate ‘difficult’ information with credibility, integrity and authority is highly valued
“Jayne has a beautiful voice, a natural style which is warm and authoritative, and she delivers near perfect performances every time. Having auditioned several voice over artists, none were so enthusiastic or produced such flawless recordings, just a couple of the reasons we book her on a regular basis.”
